“No, Thank you” saith the Daily Prompt.

The daily prompt asks what word I would remove permanently from language.  I don’t think I would.

If I had to choose, I would choose all of them. I would choose all words from all languages.  People would be reduced to body language and pantomime. Mime.

For 24 hours, make everyone incapable of speaking.  No crying babies, no shouting taxi drivers, no complaining young adults, no whining activists, no pompous politicians. Just Mime.

Make the world mime for 24 whole hours.  Oh how the world’s opinions of mimes would change.

People might grasp the importance of silence, and language.  They might get that what we say is 75% body language.  People might learn to laugh and smile more.
